During your visit to the island, you should not miss the chance to try traditional pies stuffed with mizithra cheese, lasagna with garlic and tomato sauce, water-melon pie and of course the most famous traditional sweet of Milos, “koufeto”. Koufeto, is a traditional sweet, with pumpkin and almonds, which is offered to Milos at weddings and engagements as a treat from the mother of the bride. Honey symbolizes the sweet life of the couple, while almonds fertility.
